Marks and Spencer adds to online offering with Outlet sitePublished Date: 13:43:05 21/02/2012
Marks and Spencer has unveiled its Outlet website which allows shoppers to purchase discounted items at up to 40 per cent off high street prices.
The portal adds to the retailer's online presence and has over 1,300 lines of womenswear, menswear and kidswear for sale.
It comes 12 years after the company launched its Outlet stores on the high street and at retail parks, with more than 50 now across the UK.
Richard Fox, head of Marks and Spencer outlet, said: "The internet is often the first port of call for shoppers in search of a bargain, as it offers a quick and convenient way to compare the deals available."
He added that the firm has responded to consumers' increased demand for online access to value products, "making it even easier for customers to treat themselves to the best of M&S at even better prices".
The Outlet now sits alongside the firm's mobile shopping site, which can be accessed by smartphone users for shopping on the move.
