What is a page layout?
In plain English, it’s the look and feel. It’s how text, pictures, graphics are organized and displayed on your website pages.
What does CSS mean?
That's an acronym that means Cascading Style Sheets. CSS allows web designers to attache
styles (fonts, colors, size, margins, etc.) to HTML documents.
What is a URL?
It stands for "universal resource locator". This is the address typed in to view your web page on the Internet. For example, you would type in http://www.freezone.co.uk to access our home page.
What is a Domain Name?
A domain name is a specific web site address that you choose and register with official registrars such as Nominet and Enom. Our domain name is "freezone.co.uk".
What can a website do for my business?
The simple answer is, potentially whatever you want it to. For example, you can use your website to communicate information with millions of people around the world, promote products and services, and get people to purchase your products and services.
In short, as long as you are clear in your business objectives regarding your website, Freezone can help you achieve whatever you want from your website.
How important is the look of a website?
On the Internet, as in physical life, how you look counts. First impressions are important. People make judgments on how you look just as much on how you actually are.
This is true of your website too. Create the right impression for your business and you will have customers willing to browse around your site. Create the right navigation and your customers are likely to follow the route to your products and customers and hopefully part with their hard earned cash..
Why don’t you use Front Page?
The reason that we don't use FrontPage is because it generates a lot of HTML code that is only recognized by the Internet Explorer browser. That means that a site built with FrontPage will often display beautifully in Internet Explorer (as both FrontPage and Internet Explorer are owned by Microsoft), but will be a jumbled, unreadable mess in the Netscape or Opera browser.
As more and people start to use a range of Internet browsers, we believe that cross-browser compatibility is important. Therefore, we design and test websites to ensure they view properly and work as intended in Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Opera, amongst other browsers.
How much does a website cost?
It all depends on what kind of website you want – static pages, Flash, ecommerce, etc. But one thing we can promise is that at Freezone, we offer you UK’s best value for money website design.
